The Tatra Trucks company handed over the first vehicles for the Belgian army. Representatives of the Belgian army received them as part of a handover ceremony in the Belgian city of Westerlo at the DAF factory for the production of axles and cabs.

DAF Trucks N.V. was awarded the contract for the production of almost nine hundred vehicles intended for the Belgian army in 2021. The chassis are produced at the TATRA TRUCKS car factory in Kopřivnice, and a total of 352 of these vehicles will be equipped with armored cabins developed by Tatra Defence Vehicle company.

In 2021, TATRA TRUCKS acquired, in cooperation with the Dutch company DAF Trucks N.V. order for 879 logistics vehicles for the Belgian armed forces. Thanks to the unique design of the chassis with all-wheel drive and a central support tube with independent wheel suspension, Tatra Trucks became part of this order, in which the partner company Tatra Defense Vehicle also participates.
